September's gone

Man, this summer effing sucked. Problems with the house (someone stole our a/c unit thingie, which is so expensive to replace that we're going to have to wait until next summer), problems with the cars (Ben's truck sort of died and my windshield has a lovely crack in it now thanks to a rock kicked up by a semi; thankfully it's just a tiny crack), problems with health (Rabbit's been to the ER twice now, and once had to be flown to another hospital and kept a few nights for observation, and my grandma's having major heart problems), never-ending work (we've hit busy season and while that's good for business, it means no life for employees in the small-business world), and, to top it all off, technical difficulties. My computer crashed and took my main hard drive with it. Which means that all my photos from the first half of the year are GONE, since I stupidly thought, well, I'll wait until I have time to sort them all. Add to all that hideousness construction going on at the two lots across from us and the one beside us, which means the road is always taken up by trucks or the guys who drive the trucks. Oh, and I shan't forget the financial problems, mostly involving mistakes either Ben's bank or Ben himself made.

Ha, then, on the first day of October (which counts as the last day of summer in my head, since it was a Friday), I tripped and SKINNED MY KNEE. What am I, five years old here? Stupid shoes. Thus began the official retirement of my summer platform thongs.

So far fall has been great, though. Perfect weather, no tripping, and long sleeves. Plus I just found out that the buffer I keep in my bank account (which causes much mockage from Ben's corner) saved me from being in the red by a hundred bucks. Awesome.

Heh, I just realized most of the posts I've made this summer have been about suckiness. I'm a whiny little bitca, eh? Hee.
