bleh

You take the good, you take the bad, then you take away the good and expand the bad until it fills up an entire book; that's Her by Laura Zigman.

Good god, am I ever through with chick lit. I cannot believe I made it through this entire book. It made me loathe italics and feel bad about my overuse of parentheses.

Maybe other people would enjoy this novel, but it was too chock full of stuff I couldn't care less about for me to like it.

I don't want to get too in-depth plotwise here, because I just DON'T CARE, but: woman is engaged to man who has an ex-fiancée. Ex-fiancée is a manipulative bitch, but current fiancée is a shallow, vapid bore who stalks ex-fiancée while juggling two friends—one whom she feels superior to and one who seems to hate her. And the man whom everything must center around (this is chick lit, after all) is rather dull and annoying and not very bright.

And again I say, bleh.
